A Day in Isla Reta

Last November 4, me and my classmates decided to visit Isla Reta Beach Resort in Talicud Island, Samal.

From Sta. Ana Wharf, we took a boat going directly to Isla Reta. The boat ride lasted more than an hour. The boat fare is Php 80 (one-way) as of November 4, 2014.

There's a lot to like about this resort. First, you are greeted by white sand! There are only a few beach resorts around the Davao region, especially in Samal, that has white sand beaches. Though the sand is not fine or "powdery", it is still a welcoming sight.

White sand beach!

The place is also quiet, which is perfect for me! If you don't want your beach outings to be too noisy, this is the perfect place for you.

There are open cottages available for those who will stay just for the day (Like us during that time). The price for the day tour is Php 75 per person. (as of Nov. 4, 2014)

There are also native rooms and cottages for people who will stay in the resort overnight. You can also bring tents if you like, but you have to pay a fee.

Once we settled in, we ate lunch immediately for we were starving when we arrived. Our lunch that we brought was already cooked that the only thing left to do was to eat. We went swimming after a few minutes. We also played Frisbee.

Since the last boat trip bound for Davao City is 3pm, we only got to enjoy the place for about more than three hours. After showering and packing, we set sail again for more than an hour.
