Phnom Penh Stopover (Day 3)

It's time to bid farewell to Siem Reap and for us to go to Phnom Pehn. We left Siem Reap on board a van going to Phnom Penh. After a few stops picking and dropping passengers and toilet breaks, we arrived at a van terminal. We took a tuk tuk to our hotel, which is the Go In Hotel. Once we left our bags at the hotel, it's time to explore the capital.

Since we arrived at Phnom Penh at around 1 pm, we need to take our lunch. Our contact in Phnom Penh suggested that we visit Aeon Mall and eat our lunch there. The mall is relatively new and modern looking.

After having our lunch, we went to the Royal Palace.

Information board at the entrance.

There are several sites in the place where you can see a bunch of relics like Buddha statues. However we're not allow to take photos inside of these places.

These sculpted bushes are everywhere in this area.

You can get cleansed by water in this area.

Next stop is the national museum. We didn't get to explore the entire place because we only have half a day to explore Phnom Penh (including the Royal Palace visit).

Last place we visited before dinner is their central market or Psar Thmey as locals would call it. From jewelry, clothing, accessories, food, and many more stuff, this places sells everything.

For dinner, we dined at Khmer Surin, an authentic Khmer and Thai restaurant.

We went back to our hotel after dinner. We slept early that day as we would leave Phnom Penh early in the morning to catch a bus to Ho Chi Minh City.

That was practically a half day tour of our visit in Phnom Penh. Our next adventure will be in Vietnam.

See you guys later!
